The car cut out doing approx 30 mph it came up on the dash with engine malfunction. The fault code related to fuel rail pressure high.
slight boost lag. p0299 intermittent, once every 100 mile or so. No burning oil. No hissing from pipes (checked intercooler and turbo) History. Previous to the turbo situation the car was offering the code for overboost. blew a turbo 1500 miles ago, got a recon fitted and dpf gutted. Recon snapped the exhaust bearing 600 mile into it's life. Ive got a 1.6 tdci focus only 80k on it now but replaced all the horror bits & mapped off the dpf ect before it even started to go wrong. Just for peice of mind. Me & my friend do a lot of work on fiestas with the same engine but 90hp. weve just recently done injector seals on one that had 170k exactly , going strong as ever ! 1.6 TDCi 115 Turbo Lag in 1st gear. Posted March 23, 2018. just noticed today climbing a slight hill that when in 3rd and 4th and accelerating slowly, the engine seems to stutter between 1800 and 2200 revs. It’ll climb up to 1800 normally, slow between 1800 and 2200 and then drop PpZqGo.
